Birds Chirp
Here the soft birds chirping.
Here the little ducks peeping.
Here them, see them, all around.
And I, listening.
By: Emma
Radio blasting
birds chirping
Cheetahs running
And me, yelling at the TV
By: Jason
Horses neighing for hay
Kicking at their stall to get out
Swatting their tail to kill the flies
And me, watching it all happen.
By: Sydney

Birds chirping softly in the breeze.
The clouds drifting into shapes.
And me, just drawing everything I see.
By: Priscilla
Wolves sleeping with snores.
Fish paddling on a wave.
Bells ringing from the top of a tower.
And me, listening to everything around.
By: Therese
Books being pulled off the shelves.
Looking at the excitement on people's faces.
Hear the pages turn.
And me, looking and watching all of it.
By: Mitch
Rain taps on my window.
Trees calmly blow from the calm breeze.
Bunnies calmly hop.
While I look out the window watching.
By: Ben
Harry Potter practices spells.
Hagrid is hunting.
Voldamort is flying.
And me, screaming and running for my life.

Snakes are hissing.
Elephants are stomping.
And me, watching it happen around me.
By: Rahul
The cars are going BOOM-BANG.
Hail crashes on the rooftops.
Horns honking on the left and right.
Loud engines starting to get louder.
Trains are going CLICK-CLACK on the tracks.
People are banging on the door.
And me, yelling WAKE UP!
By: Alex W.
Waves rushing onto the shore.
Wind blowing the sand.
Kids splashing in the water.
And me, sitting in a chair, listening.
By: Caroline
Hamsters are walking.
Moms are yelling.
Trees are falling.
And I am watching television.
By: Scott
Horses kicking the stall.
Dogs barking at the planes.
Fences are falling down - BOOM.
And me, trying to ride my horse in peace.
By: Lily
Rain is tapping on the roof.
Drip-Drop-Drip-Drop
The dog is barking at the rain.
And me, listening to all of it.
By: Josie
Waves splashing against the beach.
Kids playing on the sand.
And me, making a hot tub in the sand.
By: Justin
The sweet sound of nitrogen peroxide bubbling.
The tough punch from a shockwave.
The instant heat from a flame-thrower.
And I, am sitting there with goggles.
By: Alex M.
Glue running down the bottles.
The sound of scissors cutting through paper.
Things popping out of cards like springtime.
And me, listening.
By: Sarah
Scritch-Scratch pencils as they write.
Radios blasting as loud as possible.
Boom-Boom - Kicking a soccer ball in the goal.
Waa-Waa, babies crying.
Chipmunks squeeking.
While I was screaming at my brother.

Dear Squirrel,
I love the way you run.
You run as fast as the speed of sound.
You are important because you collect nuts.
You are as brown as chocolate.
How many nuts do you collect?
Sincerely,
Jason
Dear Blazing-orange Marigolds,
I love the way you are as orange as the sun.
Were you made on the sun?
Does it hurt when people pick you from the ground,
And put you in a vase?
You are my favorite flower!
Yours truly,
Caroline
Dear Spring Breeze,
I love the way you tickle my skin so softly.
I can barely feel it.
I love the way you whistle to yourself.
If you could do more than whistle,
What would you say?
Does it hurt when people go through you?
From,
Priscilla
Dear Brown Squirrel,
I love the way you feel
And how you have sparkles in your eyes.
Does it scare you when you see me?
Love,
Therese
Dear Rain,
I love the way you protect the planet
By showering the flowers
Making them rise.
I love how you cool us off
When we're as hot as lava.
How do you come down from the sky?
Does God sprinkle you from heaven?
Or do the clouds drop you onto us when they get furious?
Love,
Alexa
Dear Spring Breeze,
As you drift away,
The flowers sway to the sky every day.
You make me feel so refreshed
While you swish against my skin.
Do you ever get tired of making breezes?
Yours truly,
Alex W.
Dear Trees,
You are as tall as the clouds in the sky.
I love the way you sway in the breeze.
It looks like you are dancing when I look at you.
I wonder if you could talk, what are the stories you could tell?
Love,
Josie
Dear Tree,
I love the way your leaves sway in the wind.
I love how tall and short you can be.
I wish there were more trees that sprout out from the ground.
You are so important because your lime-green leaves,
Go up and down to make air for us to breath.
Your beautiful bark and lime-green leaves finish like a giraffe.
Do you like being up in the clouds so high?
I would want to be just like you.
Sincerely,
Ben
Dear Flies,
I love the way you fly around me.
Your as tiny as lint on a shirt.
I wish you could talk because you would tell so many stories.
I love the way you buzz in my ear.
It's like you're trying to tell me something.
Is it scary when people try to kill you and your friends?
Do you like it when we let you free?
I love the way you're so nice to me!
Your friend,
Coby

Your friend,
Mitch
Dear Flowing Lake,
You are very cold and gigantic.
Why do you come from a river?
You help by giving water to all the people.

If you could speak, what would you say?
I love how your colors sparkle in the light.

Love,
Lily
Dear Birds,
I love the way you fly in a row.
I love the way you sing your precious songs.
I love to watch you fly in the soft blue sky.
I wonder if you ever get tired of flying?
I wonder if you would rather walk or fly?
Is it hard to fly when it is windy?
Is it hard to take care of your young ones?
Did it hurt when you got pushed out of the tree when you were little?
Love,
Sydney
Dear Snakes.
I love the way you slither with your scales shining in the light,
Searching for prey,
In gardens that you find is a delight.
Your friend,
Nicholas
Dear Sun,
You are like fire in space.
Do meteors turn into fiery projectiles when the fly through you?
Or do they disintegrate dramatically?
If it weren't for you, everyone would be a popsicle.
Sometimes you look like an oversized balloon.
Sometimes you look like a yellow egg.
I wish I could land a rocket on you to answer all my questions.
You are just a bunch of poisonous gases.
From an earthling,
Alex M.
Dear Ladybug,
Oh how beautiful you are.
I wonder where you get your spots?
Where do you sleep?
Do you have a family?
I love watching you soar through the breeze.
Ladybugs eat the leaves off the trees and crawl up tree bark.
I see a ladybug on my shoulder.
What do I do?
I pick it up, and set it down.
Good-bye ladybug!
Your friend,
Emma
