What To Do If You Are A ...
Pencil
Sitting around in my pencil ledge
Screaming, its words are my writing
Writing with all its strength
Fighting the eraser
"Don't erase me!"

Chicken
Peep, peep, peck, peck ... chicken
Making a mess for me to clean up
Playing "King of the Feeder"
Jumping up on the feeder
Pushing each other off
Pushing, laying eggs
Giving us food.

Slither from side to side
Molting like a crab
Peeling everyday
And preying on other animals
And then they leave us.

Just sitting there waiting for someone to read me
I'm in the basket all cozy
Finally someone comes
She loves my poetic words
Then she starts reading me
I can't keep up with her!
Then she stops to take a break
I start reading myself
I am great
Then I finish myself
A few days later, she does
And I do everything all over again.

I whack the ball and then when I'm done
I just wait for someone to pick me up and start over again.
When I see a golf ball, I'm like, "Oh boy!"
Then I whack the ball
Then when I'm done I just go back into the golf cart.

Touchdown, 1st down, or anything else
I go from game to game
On to the Super Bowl!
Wow! I got kicked!
I soar through the field goal
"It's good," yelled the crowd
Next comes the kickoff
The ref says, "Here comes the kickoff."
It starts again!
