Mom
let me help make supper
in the kitchen
on Friday
because I like to cook.

From morning until well after dark.
I am from Saturday morning movies-
The serials, the cartoons for a quarter
From Saturday walks to the library
To see, to smell, and to read
To my heart’s content. To dream.
