Five W Poems

The Chocolate Lab
by Max
The chocolate lab
Looked at the boy with beamy eyes
At the New York City pet store
In the middle of fall
Because he wanted the boy to take him home.

Cheetah and Toucan
by Matthew
A fierce and strong cheetah
Guards his cub
As toucans chow down red pure berries
In the grassy plains
As time soars away.

The Shar-pei
by Ana
A brown dog
Is standing on the grass
Holding a bottle of REDUCES WRINKLES
In front of a house
On a sunny day
About to ask an old man for another bottle.

My Brown Cocoa Cat
by Emily
My brown cocoa cat
Sits meowing for love and
The stroking of hands
On a brown leather couch
Sunday evening
Because he is lonely.

The Battleship
by Pierce
The brown battleship
Is sailing to battle
At sunset
Because it will fight for freedom.

Football
by Tyler
Quarterbacks throwing
Footballs soaring
On the great field
In the championship
Because they're great teams.

The Grandest Flowers
by Kent
Yelling yellow, ruby red, outstanding orange
Resting in a crystal vase
Reflecting the sun
To make our "hive" look fancy.

Baby Tigers
by Tegan
Baby tigers
Are licking each other
Hidden in the mossy water
Near lunchtime
Because they're sneaky.

The Yellow Wolf
by Kevin
The yellow wolf
Stands on a summer day
Looking at another wolf
That is shaded by the sun.

Valentines' Day Teddy Bears
by Sarah
Two brown teddy bears
One is sitting down
Holding a heart
That says, " I love you."

Fun
by Kailey
The small children
Swing on the tire swing
In my backyard
At sunset
Because they want to have fun.

A Brave Skier
by Lucas
A brave skier
Skies down Window Mountain
On a Black Diamond trail
On a cold icy day
To win the gold trophy!

A Bobcat
by Leah
A bobcat sat
In the summer
Looking at his prey
In the wild
Because he wants his dinner.
