Second Grade

FOCUS

A major goal for second grade is the identification and integration of the scientific process which includes:

• observation Ð compare, classify, and recording of data
• hypothesis Ð prediction of outcome
• experimentation Ð procedure and control variables
• conclusions Ð interpret, analyze and synthesize data

The scientific learning will be applied to all content areas such as reading, writing, math and technology.
